Last weekend, we took Friday off and headed upto Edinburgh, Scotland on the train. There wasn't any particular agenda, just to relax and see a place in the UK for a change. We realized that nearly every trip we take involves a plane and a place outside of the UK. So this was a welcome change to avoid airports and see a new area of the United Kingdom.

We stayed at The Glasshouse Hotel and used it as our base for adventure. The hotel is walkable from everything we wanted to do - ranging from the train station nearby to the bus tours of the city to walkable tours of the old and newer areas of the city. I'm sure we'll get around to writing a formal TripAdvisor review of the hotel, but the short version is definitely that we'd review it well.

No particular stories jump out to share, just a relaxing weekend and fun tours of the Castle, old city, shopping district, and the Scotch Brewery. Now the pictures..
