My mouth tastes like Salt and Vinegar crisps

I woke up this morning with the definite taste of Walker's Baked Salt and Vinegar crisps in my mouth and on my lips. This may not be too strange for someone who recently has consumed a bag of the potato chips - but the closest I've come to them in MONTHS is eyeing them in the checkout queue at the store. I can't decide whether to be a bit weirded out by this taste or to savour in its delight when licking my lips.
In some random news that is a bit less concerning (if, indeed, the previous is concerning at all - concerning or fantastic, concerning or fantastic, concerning or fantastic?), we've locked on a few last home improvements. Of course, this has been our thought each time we've done the last round of things, but the good news is that we really are running out of things to do. But the bad news is that every time we run out of things to dream up, the house built in 1873 suggests a few more. Ahhh.. home ownership of Victorian structures in England.
We're going to have someone come in and fix the wall plaster cracks on the ground floor and stairway. It's unclear if the cracks are a normal amount that you may expect after re-plastering the walls and now they've simply had a chance to settle and dry, or if the cracks are of a quantity that the people who did the work were incompetent and/or some level of stupid. I'm torn between the two opinions, but the fact that the original people have stopped returning phone calls or emails does make me lean towards the second opinion. And in addition to repairing the cracks and painting the walls, we're excited to also put in a proper shower area in the master bathroom.
The bathroom right now is a "wet room" where the shower area is a bit recessed, the floors are tiled and slanted slightly towards the drain near the shower, and when you shower, there's no enclosure at all - you just stand under the shower head and water tends to get everywhere as you move around under the water. So we decided to put in two glass walls in that area, so showering doesn't also mean that you can't walk in the bathroom for hours since it's so wet. It's amazing how simple things can keep things exciting. Who ever would have thought that I'd be excited about something like this?

Tee (86.1.65.192) from London says: Quick comment post for two things - first, the shower kit is being installed in 20 minutes! Whee! And secondly, I've updated the commenting system and this will be a good test of it. Instead of using JS-Kit.com (which is javascript), I've updated it to press onto the page itself, which makes the comments crawlable by search engines. (posted Monday, March 09, 2009)
