Ha. It was almost like the Virgin Atlantic woman was being funny this morning. I arrived at the airport and when I was checking in, she said "oh sir, I have a big favor to ask you." I expected something like a request to switch rows so that a family could sit together or something. But instead she said that business class was oversold and would I ever mind downgrading to Premium Economy! I was duly amused.
The rest of the week had gone by quickly.. on Thursday night Paul, Norris and I went for a massage and then to the DVD store where they sell lots of random DVDs. I bought season (or is it "serson") one of The West Wing. The massage was good, but a little strange since the room was exactly big enough for the three of us to lie on tables next to each other, and for the three massage therapists to maneuver around the tables. Paul grunts and it made me uncomfortable. But it wasn't as uncomfortable as my massage woman felt when I accidentally kicked her in the face. After the massage was over, she squatted down to pick up my shoes for me. I had no idea she had done that, so I swung my legs out from the table just as she stood up. Smack. Oops. But she was fine and I didn't get any makeup on my feet or anything. And the evening concluded with dinner at an Irish Pub nearby - the Guinness Beef Stew Pie was great!
On Friday, we had a big team meeting with everyone in our extended team, and then we played a few rounds of ping pong at the end of the day. Despite being absolutely horrible, the game was fun. The full set of pictures is published here on my Facebook page.
And right now, I'm sitting in the lounge at the airport waiting for the Virgin flight home. In Business Class.
